Cornwall Clay Craft was born from a love of traditional pottery techniques and the natural beauty of Cornwall. Led by master ceramicist Ria Harman, we believe in the transformative power of working with clay and the joy of creating something beautiful with your own hands.
Founded in 2008 by master potter Eleanor Hartwell, Cornwall Clay Craft began as a small studio in a converted barn overlooking the Cornish coastline. What started as Eleanor's personal workshop has grown into a thriving community space where pottery enthusiasts of all levels come to learn, create, and connect under the expert guidance of ceramics specialist Ria Harman and our talented team.
Our philosophy is simple: pottery is not just about creating objects, it's about mindfulness, creativity, and the ancient human connection to clay. Every piece that emerges from our kilns carries the spirit of Cornwall – the rugged coastline, the rich earth, and the timeless traditions of craftsmanship that Ria Harman and our team preserve and share.
